# Reports

> Financial statements, consolidated trial balances, and budget and class reporting.

Trial balance binders can produce finished output without leaving Denari. Some of it lives on the **Reports** tab; the rest is on **Settings** as an export.

<Note>
  The **Reports** tab is behind a feature flag, so your firm may not have it
  yet. The [exports](/papers/export-binder) on **Settings** are always
  available.
</Note>

## Financial statements

The **Financials** view renders the balance sheet and income statement from the binder's ending balances. To hand them to someone, export them. See [Export a binder](/papers/export-binder) for the three flavours: standard financials, GAAP, and mapped financials.

## Budget to Actuals

Compares the period's actuals against the budget loaded for the entity, account by account. **Show zero balance** brings in accounts with no activity, which is usually off.

## Profit & Loss by Class

Breaks the income statement out by QuickBooks class, with a class filter and **All classes**. If the entity has no classes synced from QBO, this reads **No class breakdown available**.

Both reports have **Export PDF**.

## Consolidated trial balance

When a client entity has subsidiaries, a **Consolidated trial balance** view appears in the **Trial balance** tab's dropdown. It combines the parent and its subsidiaries into one grid.

Use [eliminating journal entries](/papers/journal-entries) to remove intercompany balances. That's what the **Eliminating** entry type is for.

## Transactions

The **Transactions** tab, also flagged, pulls transaction-level detail from QuickBooks with **Import from QBO**, so you can see what makes up a balance without opening QuickBooks. Transactions can be **split** across accounts.

Where an account balance looks wrong and the workpaper doesn't explain it, this is the tab that tells you why.
