Denari Documents is a firm-wide document library — a single, searchable home for all of your firm’s files. Instead of digging through rigid folder trees, you organize documents by the attributes that matter to your firm (client, year, service line, document type, and your own custom fields) and find anything in seconds.
Your firm needs to have the Denari Documents component enabled in order to use it. If you can’t see Documents in the product switcher and have questions, please contact the Denari or IT admin at your firm.

What you can do

Find anything fast

Search by filename, document contents (OCR), attributes, or meaning — and combine them.

Organize by attributes

Group and filter the library by client, year, service line, or any custom field your firm defines.

Triage incoming files

Review documents in Intake, set their attributes, match them to a client, and file them into the library.

Edit, lock, and version

Annotate PDFs and edit spreadsheets in place, lock documents while you work, and keep a full version history.

Opening Documents

Select Documents from the product switcher in the top-left. You’ll land on the library, where your firm’s documents are shown in a tree grouped by attribute (for example, by Client and then Year).
  • Single-click a row to preview the document beside the list.
  • Double-click a row to open its full detail page.
  • Use the grouping and filter controls to narrow the tree to exactly what you need, then copy a shareable link to that view.

How it fits with Papers

Denari Documents is the firm-wide library — every document your firm holds, across clients and engagements. The document workspace inside Papers is project-scoped: it holds the workpapers for a specific engagement. The two work together — documents from the library can be referenced into a Papers project as workpapers while staying linked to their source.
The more consistent your attributes are, the more powerful search and grouping become. Take a moment with your firm admin to agree on a small, shared set of attributes before bulk-importing documents.
