Setup

  • Engagement letters: generating, sending, e-signing, and yearly renewal. Engagements are turned on by an admin clicking Activate. Letters are tracked by hand on the Pipeline stage checklists.
  • The Prior period completion trigger can be picked, but doesn’t make the next project. Use another trigger.
  • Fiscal year end: there’s no screen to set an entity’s fiscal year end.
  • Carrying services and prices from a deal into its engagement. The deal fills in the client only.
  • Screens for time categories and rounding. These are set up for your firm behind the scenes.
  • Changing your firm’s time zone. It’s set behind the scenes. You can see it on Billing groups, under Scheduled billing runs.
  • Cost rates. You can enter them under Bill rates, but nothing in Flows uses them yet.

Tasks and time

  • Dragging tasks into any order you like. Order is set with Blocked by and Runs after.
  • A workload view showing each person’s assigned hours.
  • Setting each person’s weekly hours. Overview and the timesheet use 40 hours a week unless your firm set a target behind the scenes.
  • Expense entries. Add them to a bill as a charge instead.
  • Notifications.
  • Firm-wide limits on who can read internal time notes.

Billing

  • Autopay: saved cards and bank accounts charged automatically.
  • A client portal for invoices and payments. Clients get the invoice by email and pay with the link.
  • Payment reminder emails.
  • A refund button. Refunds show up only when they come from Stripe.
  • Flat plus hourly billing. You can record a flat plus hourly agreed price, but a service can only be billed as fixed price or time & materials today.
  • Tiered pricing.
  • Tax calculation.
  • Payment terms that set the due date on their own. Set the due date on the draft instead.
  • Reports for WIP aging and realization by client, and money figures on Overview.
  • Limits on who can price, write off, or issue beyond “admins only”.
